Vellum Grains
A 3D noise was used to map different levels of stress resistance to the constraints between vellum grains. Red grains have high tear thresholds, while purple grains have very low tear thresholds. The splotchy pattern causes the meat to tear into large asymmetric chunks as opposed to evenly sized small shreds.
Meshing
Here, the particles are turned into voxels, converted into a polygonal mesh, and textured using an animated UV projection.
